Philips Electronics has opened something it has called its ExperienceLab at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. This contains a HomeLab (to help Philips understand how people deal with new technologies in a home) and one called ShopLab (testing technologies in the retail environment)
The ‘Lab’ that interested me is CareLab, which is all about understanding how to bring interactive healthcare systems and services into the home environment. Lots of money to be made in this area in the coming decades. You can read all about it in this press release. Dick Stroud
