Maybe it is just PR but maybe Uber is part of the solution to the mobility problems of older people




As you will know, you either love Uber or think it is a neoliberal plot to stamp on the faces of the working class.

This division is evident in the presidential race in the US where the Democrats are very negative about the company.

So maybe as a part of a defensive strategy Uber has been talking about the value of the service to older people. This was timed to appear during the White House conference on Aging. I have to say the video is not my favourite but it makes the point.

Maybe something that started out as a PR exercise might just be of real benefit for older people who want to maintain their mobility. Dick Stroud
